The Student Government Association and Student Activity Peer Leaders are responsible for promoting school spirit and finding creative ways to encourage the student body to participate in clubs, performing arts and other extracurricular activities. This group of students is tasked with producing a marketing plan to attract students to the various programs that our school has to offer.
COVID-19 has made it more difficult to attract students to participate in extracurricular activities and has made achieving this goal more of a challenge. Heavily promoting Student Activities, Performing Arts and school spirit is essential to keeping our students engaged and active in school. Studies have shown that student participation in extracurricular activities in high school correlates with high academic achievement and post-secondary success. Student involvement in extracurricular programs also leads to a stronger sense of belonging, which leads to better mental health.
Creating a propaganda campaign to promote the programs and clubs at our school is our objective. Creating flyers, brochures, posters, and programs with a printer will help to achieve this goal.
