This is my first year in general education and my first year back in the classroom after eight years. My classroom library consists of leftover books from the previous teacher and from my kids’ library at home. I would love to completely revamp our library in order to provide the literature experiences the students need. This project would expand my library by doubling its current size and opening the students’ eyes to even more literature! Good literature provides the examples that students need to use as mentor texts for both reading skills and writing strategies. Thank you for considering my project.
