My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in mathematics. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. Students in my classroom must receive instruction that incorporates visual and kinesthetic elements. My school curriculum room doesn't have a large collection of math manipulatives, so I would like to have manipulatives that can provide hands-on interaction with mathematics in my intervention classroom. Struggling mathematicians will often pick up counters for assignments because they are more versatile than using fingers. Students who use these manipulatives find math fun and begin to use manipulatives more for enjoyment! Helping students begin to learn that math is fun is the perfect way to build better mathematicians and engineers. Manipulatives are a gateway to better mathematics skills for reluctant scholars. My students will love getting their hands on colorful manipulatives.
