Hello, and thanks for stopping by! What you see in my picture here are student-made volcanoes. We made these in my 8th grade Earth Science class during a unit on plate tectonics. A little about my teaching situation: I am the only science certified person in the district, teach six different classes and 140 students EVERY SINGLE DAY (all 6-12 grade science classes), and am extremely limited in funds to spend on labs, projects, and activities. Unlike "other" classes that can reuse materials year after year, science is full of projects that require consumable, non-reusable materials (ever heard of re-dissecting a frog?).
