Last year was my first year teaching at S.L. Mason Elementary School in Valdosta, GA. Most of the students here have low-income socioeconomic backgrounds. All students at the school get free breakfasts and lunches daily. Many do not have the resources available to reinforce lessons learned during the day when they are away from the school. This encourages me to continue to find better ways to make our classroom a better learning environment. Every child deserves the best chance to learn.
