My students are unique learners. They enjoy learning in ways that are comfortable for them, posing their own questions and researching answers, and they are willing to take risks through research.
My school welcomes all students, allows students to make mistakes, learn how to become better problem solvers, and teaches them to be skillful thinkers.
Despite teaching in two converted warehouses and the fact that there are no walls, we believe wholeheartedly in creating a community of learners that are deep thinkers and researchers who are continually fighting the challenges they face in their everyday lives.
At our school we believe that students learn best through inquiry and by constructing their own learning while integrating the arts. Scholars participate in projects where they learn to pose questions and find answers by researching, inviting experts to share their expertise, and going on field experiences that expand their learning. All subject areas are integrated through projects.
