Dramatic play in the kitchen is an important part of the preschool experience. While playing "house" children act out real-world situations and take on different roles and characters. A new and inviting kitchen will draw my students into scenarios of a healthy everyday lifestyle. While playing in the kitchen, my students develop language skills, social skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to interact appropriate with others. Pretending to cook for themselves and others in the new kitchen will bring our dramatic play area alive! A new kitchen will give them a sense of place that they will love and appreciate.

About my class
