My students are wonderful, lively second and third graders eager to learn and explore! They love coming to school everyday and always put forth their best effort even though they face many obstacles. My school in located in the inner city in Buffalo, NY. The students in my class are considered medically fragile, and have a wide range of disabilities such as cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and traumatic brain injuries. Many have spent time in the hospital or have gone through extensive surgeries. Some have physical or cognitive impairments and have to work twice as hard as their peers. However, they always have smiles on their faces. Their passion and motivation is an inspiration to me on a daily basis. They may learn differently and have more needs than many students, but they constantly overcome obstacles and prove that they can be successful!
