As an aerospace and engineering school, we place an emphasis on visualization and modeling in student learning. Students work together in all classes to learn using the engineering design process. My library is scheduled to finally receive brand-new whiteboard tables on October 2nd, and my students are excited to begin thinking and collaborating visually right on the table. By writing on the table instead of a piece of paper, even large groups can all see and participate. This visualization is especially helpful for our ELL students, which includes over a third of our students. This project will also supply colored paper for our library's "Speaking Wall" where students share their opinions, rulers for students to use as spot markers while browsing the library shelves, and pipe chenille for student hand fidgets. These supplies help students while they are in the library classroom.
