Nearpod is a great tool in the classroom because it is hands on technology and each student is in control of their own learning. With Nearpod, the teacher can present content with a slideshow, but instead of students just looking at the board in the front of the classroom, each student views the slideshow on their own device(s). This really keeps the students engaged!! Nearpod is also an excellent tool to differentiate the content for multiple learners. The students answer questions and I can provide feedback in real time. We already use Nearpod in the classroom and love it, but my trial ran out so we can't access all of the features. By far, the feature we miss the most is the Flocabulary. Flocabulary helps the students learn new vocabulary words by using Rap songs and the kids LOVE it! I love hearing them sing along. There is even a section that allows them to write their own rap, which allows them to be creative in a way that is familiar to them but not always accessible. I never want my students to be held back or miss opportunities as they grow because of their limited vocabulary. Vocabulary has been my number one focus this year, and Flocabulary will be a huge help in the students' learning and retaining their new words for use. My students deserve the same chances in life as anyone else, and with an improved vocabulary there is no limit to the "places they will go",
