Most of our students come from low income families. Many don't have the exposure to art museums or supplies to explore and experiment on their own. Art for some may be the "escape" that they didn't even know they needed. Our school is a Title 1 school where the majority of our population live in surrounding government housing. Many of our students cannot go to the library, let alone an art museum due to lack of transportation.
