Young learners are energetic and often busy at all learning times in the classroom. Giving students seating choices will provide opportunities to gain ownership of how they learn best. During class we transition from group instruction on the floor to independent tasks frequently. The soft seats and the flexible cushions will give my energetic, busy young learners quick options during instruction and independent work time. It will allow them to quickly grab a seat and choose where to sit when working as a group or completing small group or independent tasks on the floor or even at their chairs. These cushions will help them with their wiggles and their busy bodies while they are learning.
