My students academic levels vary greatly. Therefore, we work in small literacy and math groups each day to focus on individual student needs and closing achievement gaps. A listening center is a great way to give students extra opportunitiy to gain understanding of Math and Reading concepts. When they are not in a small group with me, students will be able to spend their time at the listening center. This will give them meaningful practice with concepts they may struggle with. All children deserve plenty of opportunity to learn and to learn at their own pace. Listening centers will help with literacy by modeling foundational reading skills such as fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. In math listening centers will give students the opportunity to work on concepts such as number sense and problem solving at their own rate and level. By donating to this project you will help these extroadinary students become confident and independent readers and mathmaticians .
