My students sometimes struggle to bring the supplies to school they need to be successful. Since my students keep an interactive notebook, they always need glue, pencils and markers. They also love to choose different colors of paper to make their interactive notebooks more personalized to them. My students take a lot of pride in their notebooks, especially if they can make it their own. In my classroom, my students love to do interactive activities to make history come alive. White boards and expo markers encourage student engagement and participation in every topic we are covering. We love to play Pictionary to recall different topics or people that we've talked about.
