As a teacher in the 21st century, our classrooms are filled with technology, bombarding our students with programs and websites to promote growth. It's time to go back to the basics and introduce my students to an old friend: music. It is my goal to purchase boom whackers, percussion instruments, and hand bells. With these instruments I plan to help my students find joy in the simple things and develop new skills and talents; fostering creativity and a love for the arts. We will also be able to integrate them into the curriculum, combining the arts with many different subjects.
