Children are currently experiencing a lot of stress, uncertainty, and anxiety. As a school counselor, I am working very hard to find ways to connect and give students the coping skills they need to navigate these uncertain times. The books in my project were all chosen to use with students virtually and in person, to help them process and cope with the variety of feelings they are experiencing. Books are the perfect vehicle for reaching students in all settings, teaching coping skills, and encouraging conversations about difficult topics. I know that with the right resources, I can reach so many children who need to process and understand what is happening in the world today!
