We are requesting notebooks, dry erase boards and markers, and lap desks. Students are required to take notes in a notebook, but have the flexibility to when it comes to performing their practice problems. Students love demonstrating their work on white boards and often choose them to do practice problems rather than on paper with pencil. I also have slowly been working on having flexible seating in my classroom. I first had about 36 desks when I first walked into my classroom. Over the past two years I was able to get my hands on tables and brought rolling chairs from my house. Students love the idea that they can mix it up and work at a table with a group in a comfier chair, or work at a desk doing more individual work. The portable chairs/desks I am asking for I think would be a fun work station for my students.
