My classroom is made up of a number of different cultures and backgrounds. Many of my students experience a very difficult life when they are home and are from torn family house holds (mostly single parents). My student's economic life styles are based on poverty level incomes. They do not have access to academic materials at home. The school they attend is very large. The class is made up of 28 students with 7 different first grade classrooms in the school. There are 40 various languages being spoken at the school which makes it very diverse and tends to lend itself to cultural challenges.
