The first grade students in my classroom come from underprivileged communities in California. Unfortunately, as a highly poverty-stricken school we are not provided with enough resources for our students to utilize. Many of these students have encountered a difficult childhood with limited resources and a lack of positive reinforcement outside of school. I try to provide as many resources as possible and create a learning environment that is motivating, exciting and supportive for my students because they all deserve an equal opportunity to learn and succeed.

About my class
