Over the last few years, there has been a significant shift towards students interest in comics, manga and graphic novels. Typically, I have one or two copies of a book to share with students, but I would like to take it further and infuse student interest into the curriculum. This project is geared towards tapping into this interest and building critical thinking and analysis into students' hobbies in order to make the classroom literature more approachable and enjoyable. By updating the curriculum texts, I am trying to build students' engagement with literature both in and out of the classroom.
