My students are inquisitive, creative, and innovative sixth graders in their first year of middle school. They come from many different backgrounds and range from both ends of the socioeconomic demographics. They love to think outside the box and are on their way to become the next leaders in a world of technology and creativity. My students are eager to compete with the best and love a good challenge to showcase their individual strengths. They thrive on positive reinforcement, and love having one-on-one conversations with me as it creates the sense of community at their "home away from home". While every student I have typically enjoys the school and learning, many face challenges with ADHD, OCD, anxiety, depression, and learning disabilities. I hope my role as their teacher fills these gaps by providing flexible choices and learning styles to meet their individual needs.
