Greetings, My name is Amber Smith, Teaching Project Coordinator at Harbor Teacher Preparation Academy. The Teaching Project is a year-long activity involving 9th and 10th grade students at HTPA. Students are required to work in small groups and prepare a one-hour, science-based, technology-centered, Common Core lesson for 3rd and 4th grade students at local elementary schools. Each year this turns out to be an extremely rewarding experience and after teaching their lessons some students decide to become teachers!
