More than three‑quarters of my students come from low‑income households. Without exposure and opportunity to access organized, purposeful and targeted space my students are often overwhelmed at the piles, stacks and bins full of books in a classroom. Like most of us, young learners are challenged with making "good choices" when it comes to reading. Setting up an environment that allows for ONLY good choices solves this problem! The Colorful Essentials Display and leveled books make the "good choice" crystal clear for my students. The bins will be clearly labelled with the students names that need to be reading the leveled books within for independent practice. The display area for content specific books and monthly themes to be promoted for generating interest and vocabulary acquisition.
