I teach English as a Second/Other Language in two Title I high schools in Memphis, TN. At one school, most of my students are French-speaking African immigrants and I am the only point of contact with them as I also speak French. At another school, most of my students are Hispanic and new arrivals to the country. They need as many resources as possible to learn English because their success later in life in this country depends upon their command of the English language.
