I am a 2nd grade teacher in Philadelphia. The students in my classroom are from a very impoverished neighborhood but are willing to overcome those struggles to make better lives for themselves. Most of the students are willing to learn as much as they can to better themselves. They also come to school to help ensure that they are safe and have two meals a day.
