I want my students to discover books that they are excited about and that they feel confident in reading. I want them to be able to take books home over the weekend to read to their family. These grade library books will be used daily. I want students to feel comfortable to go to our classroom library and pick out books for silent reading or any time they are done with their work. Having these materials readily available for my students will also help build more community in the classroom by helping students pick books they want to read to to partners in class as well.
