These materials will make the world of difference to our class this year as we approach distant learning. I plan on teaching whole group as well as individualized lessons to students with special needs. During these lessons, I will be modeling specific skills incorporating a variety of materials to reach the individual needs of students. Children will use this material to learn number identification, counting using manipulatives, 1:1 correspondence as well as being able to follow verbal directions. Students will also learn "I do, you do" activities, identifying letters, building letters and able to follow directions when asked to show a letter with accuracy. Students will also learn to write letters, numbers and words on the white boards during build it, write it, say it" activities. Many students do best with frequent breaks during learning and love the water bead timers! They can use their timers while they stay seated and wait for the timer to run out. Students will also have access to materials that promote occupational skills such as writing and building with a variety of materials.
