My students live in a very low income area (approx 98% receive free lunch). Our school often does not have the resources to buy all the learning materials and supplies to help all students learn based on their learning styles. One of those learning styles is through writing. My students are excited about school and love learning how to write letters, numbers and shapes. They really like hands on materials to learn how to form letters and different writing materials to make writing FUN! It is important to THEM that they learn as much as they can and to have fun. It is important to me, as their teacher, to make the learning FUN while also encouraging them to express themselves through their writing.
