My students vary in both grade and ability. They also vary in their background knowledge and language. Working in a Title 1 school that is made up of more than 85% English Language Learners, my students come in with varying degrees of academic knowledge. By using the alphabet teaching tubs and magnetic letters I will be able to meet each of my students where they are in their learning. Keeping learning engaging, interesting, fun, and exciting will keep my students wanting to learn more. By using the alphabet tubs, magnetic letters, and activity center, they will have a kinestic, tactile way to approach learning new concepts.
