Each student requires different accommodations to help them be the best learner they can be. Often in middle school kids need the ability to wiggle or move within the classroom to help them stay engaged. The flexible seating allows kids to wiggle and move side to side at their seat without ever leaving the classroom. This will allow them to stay for the lesson and not miss out on learning where in the past they may have needed to go for a walk or be sent on an errand. Flexible seating is just as beneficial for middle students as it is for our elementary kids. Studies show that adolescents need choice and comfortability to learn best, and a flexible seating classroom that feels like home will give them what they need to be successful.
