These laptops will supplement our library's desktop computers and allow more students to access online resources and create digital products. They will be able to do research, read e-books, write essays, and design slideshows and videos. Currently, some of the students have to share computers because we do not have enough for each student in a class. Our students are excellent collaborators, but sometimes they want to create and use their own individual and unique products. More laptops will allow us to meet the needs of individual students depending on their needs. For example, a student who needs to use the read-aloud feature of an e-book and a student who is ready to read an online chapter book alone, can each use their own computer.
