Students respond to organization and routine. By creating workstations in the classroom, groups will feel like that corner of the classroom is their own, which often inspires creative thinking and true collaboration. Each station will have a full pad of self-adhesive chart paper on the wall secured by Command strips so that students can leave it up or take it down as they wish—flexibility! Each group will be seated together at their own work station. Finally, each station will have a case filed with quality colored markers—enough for all members to be able to be hands-on. And just like that, students will feel like their classroom truly is their own, that their group is their own little think-tank, and that the supplies they’re lucky enough to have are there for them and not just left over and dried out. Voila!—thinking made visible.
