Hello! I am Jan Allen and teach in the oldest town in Tennessee. Jonesborough was founded in 1779! Jonesborough Elementary, K-4, has approximately 500 students. My classroom budget is less than $1 per student for the year. We are set to return August 3, 2020. Because of the COVID19 pandemic I am required to sanitize everything between classes. Materials are not to be shared according to CDC and our county CLP guidelines. I do not have the funds to purchase individual materials for each child. One alternative would be watercolor pencils and a paintbrush for each child. These pencils and paintbrushs would enable me to safely teach drawing and painting techniques. I would then use my $400 budget on paper and individual pencil sharpeners. Through your donations the students still have a chance to discover and experiment with art materials . Thank you in advance for helping!
