My students are in grades 6-8 in the general music classroom. The school is a rural school with limited music resources. I see approximately 400 students at this school. Many of these students come from low income families. For some of these students, school is the only place where they will have the opportunity to learn about or participate in music. These students enjoy music and want to learn more. The question I am asked most often is when we will be able to learn a popular instrument with guitars being one of the most popular among my students.
