I have big plans for the flower activity tables. They will be an important part of the flexible seating option that is going to be implemented in the classroom. I just need your help getting them placed in the classroom. The larger table will be set at a tall height. The students will have the option to sit on stools or stand to complete activities. The smaller table will be set at the lowest height. At this level, the students will have the option to sit or kneel on pillows. By donating to this project my students will have the opportunity to have the choice of flexible seating. Flexible seating has many benefits. Some of these are; choice, comfort, and community. By allowing students a choice of workspace they will feel empowered or in control of their learning environment. An uncomfortable student may lead to a distracted or uncooperative student. By allowing the student the option of a workspace that is comfortable for him or her they may stay on task. Finally, by offering students the choice of where and with who they sit they are being encouraged to share and work collaboratively with others. I truly want my students to benefit from flexible seating to meet their learning potential and need your help to make this a reality. Thank You!
