I feel blessed to work in a community where teachers are appreciated and I want nothing more than to show the same support for my students. My district administration makes every decision with the students' best interests in mind and all faculty, staff, and administrators provide me with the support I need to perform at my highest potential. My classroom is comprised of 25 brilliant students who are kind, hardworking, and enthusiastic about learning. Our room is a place where all feel valued and respected and we work as one team. I work in partnership with many loving parents who are also a part of why my job feels so worthwhile. I love my job so much that I hardly consider it work; however, the architectural layout and the age of my building place some limitations on the use of technology in my classroom. I am fortunate enough to have a laptop and an iPad provided to me by my district; but my students need more exposure to technology in order to progress in the 21st Century.
