Wobble Chairs and Bouncy Bands are a great use of flexible seating. Students who become fidgety and restless can tremendously benefit from these seating options. Students have many different learning styles and as an educator I want to provide students with a choice. They will have an outlet for their energy while staying focused on their learning. Flexible seating helps make the classroom more student-centered. These seating options can be used during literacy centers, guided reading groups, and all instructional time. Students work best when they're comfortable; flexible seating can help provide students with a more comfortable seating alternative. I want to provide them with more choices so they feel responsible and invested in their own learning.
