Some students cannot sit still due to their individual learning needs in the classroom. Flexible seating will allow children to move while learning and increase their focus. It will also allow children to build up their core strength and their endurance. By giving children wiggle cushions and wobble chairs, I can allow them to be themselves and move while a lesson is being taught, instead of sitting on a hard chair which doesn't move. I'm hoping to increase time on task (or work time) rather than needing to send children on errands for movement which takes time away from learning.
