These picture books would give my students the opportunity to better understand basic social skills that many children have the privilege of understanding without being directly taught. My exceptional students need to learn how to be kind, respectful, empathetic, responsible, honest, a leader, have self-control, understand their emotions, regulate their emotions, have personal space, and much more. Picture books are a great resource for teaching children social skills concepts! The captivating pictures, characters, and plots in these stories present concepts at their level and in a way that may not seem like learning to them. I am all about making learning fun!

About my class
