We are raising funds to buy reading material for our 8th Grade Book Club. In our club, we advocate for reading and literacy by having students choose high interest books each month that they read and then discuss with other members of the club. Our book club has proven effective and productive in spreading the passion of reading. Students within the club have given reading recommendations to students outside of the club, effectively spreading the love and appreciation of reading to others within the school community. The materials we receive from donations will be used to read, formulate discussion questions and come together as a group to engage in indepth conversations with other peers.
