It is apparent that people do better when they feel comfortable. With that being said, it is very important that the young minds in my classroom and classrooms around the world feel relaxed and safe to ensure that they can produce their best work. Currently, I have a “Book Nook” where scholars can sit comfortably and get lost in a book. It is so heartwarming to see such joy on their faces while learning. I would love to be able to create this joy throughout my classroom. In order to do so, I hope to be able to provide each student with an opportunity to learn in an environment where they feel safe, comfortable, and are able to continue their love for learning. The products that I have selected will allow students the opportunity to choose the seat they will learn most effectively in. The balance balls are perfect for my students who are extra wiggly. The comfy floor seats and big bean bag seats are great to ensure students can focus on their learning instead of the discomfort from sitting in plastic seats all day. My students often ask to do their work in various places throughout the classroom. They lay on the floor, love to sit in "Ms. Patton's chair," or work comfortably in our "Book Nook." I hope that my 4th grade scholars' learning will continue to flourish through the option of flexible seating!
