My students are not the children you see in pictures of the perfect classroom. They don't come to school with their new back to school clothes and new book bags. My students come from poverty homes. Some come to school with empty bellies and dark eyes from no sleep because they had to watch their siblings while their parents worked a second job. What my students also come with is potential. They can be whatever they want to be a school. Here I can create opportunities for them and open doors of limitless possibilities. Our school is a title one school. We are located in the poorest part of the district. Our teachers would not want to be anywhere else. Here is a place we can make a difference everyday. These students have all the potential in the world and we dedicate every second to help them achieve their goals.
