In our state, school, and classroom, we are putting a huge focus on reading and literacy in early elementary grades. Our district is working hard to procure funds for all teachers to enhance their literary resources within the classroom and schools. However, whenever the funds are allocated, they must be split between multiple teachers and grades across multiple schools. With these materials in my classroom, I can create a fun organized space, where the students can easily access the books/materials and enjoy the space at the same time. The best way to get children excited for reading is to allow them to choose their own books. However, to help them learn to grow in their reading abilities, they need to read within the appropriate reading levels. Unfortunately, if the classroom library does not have enough space, and is not labeled/organized well, the children will have a harder time finding the appropriate leveled books or finding books they are interested in. Thankfully, with your help I can avoid this problem and learn to love my library!
