I am a first grade teacher in a Title 1 school with about 70% of our students receiving free and reduced lunches. We also have a backpack program and each year I have a few students who take home food for the weekend. A good majority of our students walk into our school without having their basic necessities met. In return, we have many behavior and academic challenges. Our staff is compassionate, patient and they work tirelessly to help comfort and teach our students. We are a dedicated school district always looking for ways to help our students. My goal as a teacher is to create a safe, dynamic, and diverse environment where all students can grow and learn. I firmly believe that if we all work together we can accomplish great things! Please consider helping in anyway you can!
