Most of my students utilize multiple learning modalities (visual, auditory, kinesthetic). I am always looking for creative ways to tap into their need for multi-sensory supports. Another challenge is ensuring new concepts aren’t presented too abstractly. To this effect we often utilize manipulatives and games within our classroom. We need more resources that make learning fun while helping students access higher level content and foster independence. The puzzles are self-correcting which would help students build confidence as they learn on their own. The games would be a great activity to use with classroom volunteers as well. These tools would help us greatly in accessing content in a way that is fun and concrete.
