My classroom is a flexible seating classroom. This means, the students will have options to sit in different types of chairs, stools, cushions, or even stand while doing their independent work. They are able to choose which work space suits their specific needs in order to be more successful and creative. Flexible seating allows the students to be more independent thinkers while collaborating with others to find the best possible solutions in the best possible environment. My classroom is lacking wobble seats for those students who need to wiggle while they work. Bean bag chairs can be a comfy place to sit and dive into a good book. Floor chairs can provide a good seat for those who like to work on the floor in a group.
