A light table will help provide a way to make learning more enticing, as it can be used to help teach colors, letters, numbers, shapes, and much more. The sensory tray and sensory materials will help provide a calming experience to all students, especially those with autism. Sensory exploration is essential to all students in early childhood, especially those with special needs. The light table will also provide a place of interest in the classroom, which will entice children to want to work together and cooperate with other students who may be different than themselves. While students work with their peers at the light table, it will also provide a great language development opportunity for those children with speech delays.
