I work with fabulous kindergarten students from very diverse backgrounds. My school is comprised of about twenty percent military families and children. These children are often faced with transitional challenges, due to a sudden military move. These children can be easy to identify as new and different by the other students. Each day all students are faced with difficult situations. A scary problem for a kindergartener to face is bullying. My job is to make sure the students learn how to handle these difficult situations and teach all students the needed skills and knowledge to avoid or handle bullying. I would love to be able to give these students the best possible foundation on how to treat others. With strong reading skills and the use of technology in their everyday lives, these task may be learned successfully. They are FABULOUS children and deserve the best from us!
