We currently do not have enough sewing machines for every student. The students are very excited to sew. New machines will allow each student to use a machine which helps reduce re-threading for each step of their project and allows for a more productive use of classroom time. These machines also expose the students to new technology in the fashion and clothing construction field. Our current machines are dated and while they allow students to get down the basics of clothing construction, the students aren't able to fully dive into the new and exciting advances in that area of study. The Janome S-7330 Scholastic Sewing Machines are digital and offer many features that our current models do not. These include 30 built-in stitches, 6 buttonhole options, and an LED screen with easy navigation. My students would greatly appreciate these new machines for ease of using the enhanced educational opportunities.
