You are helping art students that win state & national awards with their artwork through the National Scholastic Arts Competition & are earning college credit through Advanced Placement Studio Art. Some graduates are working in architecture, design, & even for Disney! Many are earning admission &/or scholarships into the finest art programs in the country. Unfortunately, neither my students nor my school can afford high quality cameras to build photography portfolios or to capture excellent images of artwork required for the AP exam. A good camera is a necessary tool for building & submitting digital portfolios to afford these opportunities. Currently my AP Art Class of 17 students is sharing 2 cameras amongst themselves around the clock to meet deadlines. 1 is 7 years old, & the 2nd was graciously acquired through DonorsChoose. We hope to get enough funding for a 3rd camera to conduct simultaneous photo shoots.
